Todays bake - Candied almond catherine-wheels.
I really fancied cinnamon buns but had no cinnamon left so improvised these doughy toffee-candy almond spirals. Drizzled with almond glaze. Super sweet.

Sometimes I am a lovely housemate and friend. I even made Dennis a birthday badge on his card. Those are chocolate and almond brownies.
Homemade blueberry and vanilla compote. (I even grew the blueberries and made the vanilla sugar) I do pancakes right.

Chunky chocolate and cranberry shortbread cookies.
rub 1 cup lightly salted butter with 1 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup corn flour to make a basic shortbread, add 1/4 cup cocoa powder and a hand full of cranberries. roll and chill for 1 hour. slice into chunky cookies and bake until just firm then sprinkle with homemade vanilla sugar whilst warm.
Golden Banana cake with vanilla cream frosting.
225g plain flour
175g butter
125g bark brown sugar
1tsp bicarb soda
1/2tsp cream of tartar
2 over-ripe bananas
2 eggs
3tbsp milk
2 drops vanilla essence
nutmeg/mixed spice to taste
bake at gas mark 4 for 1hr - 1 1/2hr
butter, icing sugar and vanilla for frosting and golden cake spray to decorate.
