I’ve already finished all of The Walking Dead. Thought I had a good few hours. Anyways I’m starting From Hell, I loved the film when I was young, I love anything to do with Jack the ripper and it’s Alan Moore so I’m hoping this will satisfy me.
Today I figure I need to chill out. So I’m just going to get blazed and absorb myself in Comicrack. Download the latest Walking Dead. Maybe re-read v for vendetta. Might even go crazy and crack out some Clandestine.
I stopped watching the TV series part way through the second season purely because I was so engrossed in the comic I didn’t want one to spoil the other.
I have just watched it all. I must say (and this is incredibly rare for me to feel) that I think I enjoy both equally. Normally I would be furious at the changes made translating the story for TV but I genuinely love both. I’m really looking forward to seeing where they go with season 3. Getting to the prison and all that follows is one of my favourite parts of the comic so far. I really hope they keep Lori being gunned down with the baby in the story for the TV show. For me the greatest thing about The Walking Dead overall is the way it deals with the human side of the whole situation. How people react to extremes and how quickly people can change and adapt under pressure to survive. Also it’s only once Lori is out of the picture that I really start to enjoy Carl.
